A Cult of Truth Cultist is a loyal follower who follows their mentor without doubt.
A Cultist is neither a mage nor a leader, but the hands and eyes of the Cult of Truth. The Cultist listens closely to every word of the Preacher, absorbs the Preacher's teachings, and follows them without hesitation. The mentor's orders are law, provided they do not contradict the tenets of the faith.
Like a puppet in the hands of their guide, the Cultist is ready to fulfill any whim, from participating in a ritual to carrying out a dangerous assignment, even if it puts their life at risk. At the same time, Cultists remain loyal not so much to the Preacher as a person as to the idea itself.
The Cultist's role is to act as an executor, a participant in ceremonies, an assistant in recruiting new adherents, and a conduit for the Cult's power into the world.
Through the Cult's powers, a Cultist can draw rituals that grant them strength, life, intermediaries, and much more. The descendants left behind an ancient book and chalk for every possible ritual, but everything has its price.
Crystals are required to perform any ritual. They appear on the altar and are granted for making sacrifices and finding new Cult novices, as described in the ritual book. For some rituals, the crystals must be placed inside a wolf's head.
You can sacrifice only player corpses on the altar; mob corpses will not work.
You must not take any belongings from prospective followers, even if you recruited them by force. Your task is to bring more people into the Cult, not to profit from them.
Followers are the heart of the Cult; without them, its main goal cannot be achieved. To make a person part of the Cult or sacrifice them, a special rune called "Ritual of Connection with the Victim" must be drawn. At least 2 Cultists must stand on the rune and activate the wolf's head, after which a crystal will appear on the altar.
After a person becomes a follower, they gain health regeneration, but in return they must sacrifice their blood at any altar by inflicting a small wound on themselves. If a person does not give blood to the Cult, their condition will grow worse and worse. Eventually, the powers will reject them and they will cease to be a follower of the Cult.
A Cultist is the pillar of the Cult of Truth. They do not need magic because their strength lies in faith and their readiness to carry out the will of their guide. People like these form the foundation on which the entire Cult rests.
