¶ At the Dawn of Time
Dragons are the oldest sentient species in the world. They ruled in an age when other species had not yet learned even to make fire. Yet the greediest and most arrogant dragons, craving boundless power and eternal dominion, swore allegiance to Morbius, the God of Death. The deity deceived the proud reptiles. Some dragons united against the Evil God but lost the decisive battle. The survivors either became Morbius's slaves or entered a long slumber.
¶ At the Top of the Food Chain
A living dragon weighs between four and five tons. For this reason, even subspecies with wings cannot fly. The monsters' scales rival Forstone in strength and lightness, while their claws and teeth are sharper than a sword blade. The enormous reptiles' vitality and strength are offset by their sluggishness and low endurance, making them difficult to call exceptional hunters. Nevertheless, although meat and fruit help their wounds heal, their magical nature allows dragons to live for years without food or water.

Dragons awakened by the island's inhabitants using ancient tablets purchased from merchants can take many paths. Some seek a quiet place where they can return to sleep. Many join forces with humans, using their powerful claws and unique magical abilities to take revenge on the Gods, especially Morbius. Others, by contrast, swear allegiance to the God of Death. In rare cases, a dragon awakens and attacks everyone, trying to satisfy an imagined hunger inflicted by the Gods.
An awakened dragon is free to decide whether to obey the being that summoned it.

An Ice Dragon that swore allegiance to Morbius. Its soul and will were stolen, but in return it received many powers. It can appear only by Morbius's will.
The most ancient and powerful dragons serving Morbius are called Mother Dragons. Even one is enough to destroy the island.
