¶ Legion Recruit
Difficulty: Medium
Duties: Undergoing a baptism by fire and training under the supervision of higher-ranking soldiers.
Restrictions: The role's faction falls into the category of Combatant factions.
The Recruit is a former peasant who was conscripted into the ranks of the Legion and is now serving in the region.
¶ Yesterday's Conscript
The Recruit is a newcomer conscripted into the ranks of the Legion for military service. Upon arriving at the Fort, he is placed under the command of the Optio, who will supervise his subsequent training and expeditions.
¶ A Time for Training, an Hour for Campaigning
As an inexperienced warrior, the Recruit will study swordsmanship, practice strikes on a training dummy, and eventually take part in practice combat. Drill, the study of the Legion's hierarchy, and the care and maintenance of equipment all await the Recruit during training in the Legion.
¶ Hard in Training, Easy in Battle
After prolonged training at the dummy, real practice awaits the Recruit. If the conflict in the region escalates, he may be assigned to a group and sent deep into the territory to restore order or seize a particular location.
¶ Completion of Training
After completing the recruit training course and participating in practical and combat expeditions, the Recruit can expect a promotion. Because experienced fighters in the region are worth their weight in gold, a promoted Recruit will receive the position of Legionary, bringing a new rank, equipment, and duties, as well as the chance to write his name into history as a bold and courageous warrior.
