¶ Dark and Unseen
A ghost (also known as an observer, a "ghost," and so on) is a special role for players who were unlucky enough to die during the round, who entered ghost form themselves by typing the ghost command into the client console (Fn + ESC), or who joined as observers after connecting to the server.
In ordinary circumstances, a regular ghost is invisible to the island's living inhabitants, because "ghosts" cannot interact with them. The only way to make their presence known at all is to use the gust-of-wind ability.
¶ Useful Buttons
To make the afterlife as comfortable as possible for players, a ghost, as an entity, has several useful abilities:
- When used, players near the ghost will hear the air stirring;
- Disables the player's ability to hear other ghosts. The player will not hear other ghosts until the button is pressed again;
- The first click turns on a bright flashlight around the ghost, visible only to that ghost. The second disables / enables all lighting in the game.
- Toggles FOV (Field Of View), revealing terrain hidden by obstacles that the character cannot see (for example, behind a wall);
- When used, hides other ghosts.
Use the ALT + ЛКМ (LMB) combination on a selected object to attach yourself to an entity and follow it.
¶ What Next?
If you became a ghost against your will, do not be discouraged. This is not the end. You can fly, observe other players, use the menu, and teleport. You can also use the "dead" chat to talk to other ghosts.
Dead chat is an OOC chat.
¶ A Second Life
There are two ways to return to the game: take a "ghost" role or be reborn. The choice is yours, as each method has its own advantages and disadvantages.
¶ Ghost Roles
Still, remember that ghosts have been granted the unique ability to inhabit soulless beings. This allows a ghost to take over the body of a soulless vessel, from a wolf to an ancient dragon.
Every ghost has access to the "ghost" role menu. From time to time, the menu may gain new entries when the server adds new game rules or as a result of player actions (for example, a mage summoning a skeleton).
When choosing a ghost role, you are forbidden to remember information from your previous life unless an administrator tells you otherwise.
¶ Rebirth
You can begin life anew, knowing nothing of your past life and having neither enemies nor friends. To be "reborn," you must pass a trial. First, open "ghost roles" and take part in the selection for the "Rebirth" role. You will then find yourself in Hell, where your task is to collect 13 Cursed Clots and use them to buy a key for a door. Click the door to begin a new life and return to the menu. You cannot choose the same character after rebirth!
