¶ Introduction
Every member of the College of Mages is a pillar of society deserving of universal respect. Day and night, they maintain the stability of the magical Barrier, holding back a deadly force and protecting every resident from inevitable doom.
¶ Archmage of the College
The Archmage of the College is the wisest of all spellcasters in this mortal world. Their magical scrolls protect this realm from the incursion of world-devouring evil, serving as the ultimate bulwark against darkness.
The Archmage must assign tasks carefully so that mages do not perish on their first expedition, ensuring they remain at the College to watch over the Barrier and guide travelers in the magical arts. Since the fate of the entire region rests upon these scrolls, the Archmage's primary task is to gather, purchase, or trade for as many as possible to secure peace for all living beings.
The Archmage can also teach travelers magic in exchange for gold or scrolls.

You are a rank-and-file mage: a skilled and dependable spellcaster ready to help both fellow colleagues and hapless travelers in distress. As the backbone of the College, you bear the primary responsibility of seeking out the scrolls necessary to sustain the Barrier.
